  • What are the hours?

1-7 on Fridays (Registration opens at 12:30; seminars run from 2:00 through 6:00) *subject to change

10-6 on Saturdays (Registration opens at 9:30; seminars run from 11:00 through 5:00) *subject to change

10-4 on Sundays (Registration opens at 9:30; seminars run from 11:00 through 3:00)

  • What’s the cost of admission to the show?

$12 per person at the door - good for all show days; children under 18 are free. Online tickets save at least 20%

  • What is the cost of admission to the seminars?

FREE with your admission to the shows. Our Seminars—as well as our "Main Stage" demonstrations—are perks to the shows. We invite you to enjoy all that our log home shows, timber frame home shows and rustic expo's have to offer.

  • What topics will be covered at the seminars?

The short answer is, “Just about anything you need to know to complete your log or timber frame home” (design, construction, flooring, décor, financing, land, frame styles, and more). For more details, including seminar topics and presenters, please see the Daily Seminars page under “what to do” at the specific show you’re planning on attending.

  • How do I Get Tickets?

It’s easy—you can do it in advance—and save 20% or more. Tickets are only $12 per person or $20 for a family pass (2 adults) by clicking on-line at the link below. Get Tickets from here you will be redirected to our registration page.

Also, you can head to the “Get Tickets” page on the web link for the specific Johnson's Log Home & Timber Frame Shows, 2nd Home Show or Rustic Living Expo you’re attending. And, of course, registration is available at the show doors, beginning 30 minutes before the start of each day’s events.

  • What are “Contact Cards”?

We offer “Contact Cards,” it's your way of easily meeting exhibitors and offering your contact information to the people you’ve selected to remain in touch with. It’s your personal business card—and, be assured, it’s not information that Johnson's Log Home & Timber Frame Shows will share with any outside entities.   • What should I bring to the show?

Any homework or plans you’ve made are appropriate. For more information, check out our “What to bring” page under the specific show you’ll be attending.

  • Where do I start?

This is a frequent question from attendees. Some attendees know exactly who they want to see, while others are new to the experience. There’s a lot to see and do at a Johnson's Log Home & Timber Frame Shows, but there’s no need to be overwhelmed. Grab a map and schedule upon your arrival; then take it one booth at a time, one seminar at a time. No matter where you are in the process there's a seminar for you. Our seminars are put on by industry professionals covering all aspects of building your dream home. The presenters bring years of experience to every seminar- not one should be missed!

  • Do you have a list of nearby hotels or restaurants?

Yes, and typically, we have a host hotel that we’re working with for the Johnson's Log Home & Timber Frame Shows.

  • What types of companies exhibit at your shows? Do you have a complete list of the exhibitors?

Log and timber frame home manufacturers and dealers, flooring companies, decor and furnishing companies, real estate companies, lenders, and many more. We do update the exhibitor list to include the specific companies at each show. (Check out the site of the show you’ll be attending—under “What To Do,” you’ll find an “Exhibitor List.” And if there’s someone you’d like to see exhibiting that’s not on the list, let us—or them—know!

  • Can we purchase Lodge/Rustic Style Furniture at the show?

We feature some of the best furniture makers and suppliers offering different styles and price points. Be prepared!

These items are usually offered as cash and carry- so bring a truck or trailer to haul your treasure home.

  • What’s the difference between a log home and a timber frame home?

This is a good question, and one we often hear. Logs—from log siding to huge handcrafted logs to perfectly shaped milled logs—(in most cases) cover the exterior and interior walls of a log home (though drywall is always an interior option). The timber frame is a beautiful wooden truss that is shown off inside(typically, though it could greet you in an archway); it’s functional beauty that supports the home—and makes for a terrific conversation piece in your great room. In theory, you could combine these elements and have both a log and timber frame home; the possibilities, styles, and designs are endless in these custom homes.   • What if I don’t have land?
